CWG Day 10: India’s Medal Tally

Indian shooters continued to win glory on the last day of the Commonwealth Games’ shooting events in New Delhi.


India’s shooter Heena Sidhu bagged a silver in the women’s singles 10-meter air pistol event Wednesday.

Heena Sidhu bagged a silver in the women’s singles 10-meter air pistol event, missing the gold with a slight difference of 0.3 points to Pei Chin Bibiana from Malaysia. Ms.

Pei qualified for the gold medal with a score of 481.9, while Ms. Sidhu scored 481.6.

On Monday, Ms. Sidhu won a gold medal with Annu Raj Singh in the 10-meter air pistol pairs event.

Samresh Jung, meanwhile, won a bronze medal in the men’s individual 25-meter standard pistol event Wednesday. Mr. Jung scored 559 points.

Singapore’s Bin Gai won the gold medal with 570 points.

Australia is presently leading the medals overall tall with 159 medals including 70 golds; England and India follow with overall 121 and 91 medals respectively including 32 gold medals each.
